Yokohama’s Chinatown is the biggest one in Japan. The Chinatown grew largely as Yokohama was one of the first ports to be opened for trade after roughly 2 centuries of Isolation from the world.
It’s roughly an hour’s train ride from Central Tokyo and is definitely worth the visit. Filled with vibrant narrow streets and lots of different restaurants and street food stalls, it makes for an interesting place to spend an evening at.
You can also find a large of number of shops offering palm reading services, which is quite unique to this part of the city. I haven’t really come across palm readers in my strolls around the rest of Tokyo and around for that matter.
