Torigoe Matsuri

The Story

Matsuri is the japanese word for festivals. Various Matsuri’s are celebrated across numerous different shrines or temples across Japan.

It was amazing to see thousands of people gathered to see the omikoshi, as well as hundreds of people who were carrying them. Seeing or especially carrying the omikoshi is believed to bring good luck in your life.

There were also a lot of stalls for food and entertainment around the shrine.

If you are in Japan, you have to attend at least one of the Matsuri’s and let the festive vibes take you away!
